Every Plain Sight book is printed and bound for you after you order. We do not keep stock in a warehouse, so delivery takes longer than for a book that is already sitting on a shelf. In return, your copy is new from the press and travels a short way.
Where your book is printed
- United States: printed in the United States by our print partner Lulu.
- United Kingdom and Europe: printed in the United Kingdom by our print partner BookVault.
- Other countries: for now we ship to the United States, the United Kingdom and the countries of the European Union. If your country is not offered at checkout, write to us and we will tell you when it opens.
How long it takes
Delivery time is printing time plus postage.

These are the estimates our printers give us. Busy seasons, especially November and December, can add a few days. We send your order to print within one working day of payment.
Cost
Shipping is included in the price. What you see on the page is what you pay at checkout.
Prices are shown in US dollars, euros or pounds sterling, depending on where you are. Checkout shows the final amount before you pay.
Tracking
Every order ships with tracking. When the printer hands your book to the carrier, we email you the tracking link.
Customs and import taxes
Books printed in the United States or the United Kingdom are imported when they enter the European Union.
Until we can collect EU VAT at checkout, the carrier may ask you to pay import VAT and a small handling fee on delivery. We tell you this before you pay so it is not a surprise. There is no customs duty on printed books in the EU.
Wrong or incomplete address
Please check your address at checkout. If a book comes back to us because the address was wrong or incomplete, we can send it again, and we will ask you to pay the second postage.
Lost parcels
If your tracking has not moved for 10 working days, or the book has not arrived 2 weeks after the latest estimate above, write to hello@plainsighthouse.com. We check with the carrier and, if the parcel is lost, we print and send a new copy free.
Pre-orders
When a book is marked as a pre-order, the page and the checkout show the date we expect to send it to print. We charge your card when you order. If we cannot meet that date, we email you, and you can cancel for a full refund at any time before your book goes to print.
